Indonesia is a country full of diversity , home to numerous different ethnic groups, languages and religions. However a common language and the national motto of Bhinekka Tunggal Ika “Unity in Diversity” help to bind the 17,500 islands and 33 provinces, meaning that the cultural landscape is also a diverse one, mixing both foreign anf indigenous customs. Estimates put the number of different ethnic groups at three hundred or more, and these include indigenous populations such as the asmat people of New Guinea and the Mentawai tribe living in the rainforest of an island near Padang.
The largest ethnic group within Indonesia is that of the Javanese people, estimated to make up around 45% of the country’s population. The Sundanese are another ethnic group, from the western part of Java, and are the country’s second largest ethnic population. Other groups include Chinese and Malay Indonesians and the Madurese people, to name but a few. With this board range of populations comes just as broad a mix of cultures, languages, religions, traditions and histories. As a taster, Balinese culture and hinduism affects almost every aspect of life on the island. The unique  mix between sacred Hindu-Dharma and sophisticated local customs has made Bali as special as it is. Bali’s culture is still felt everywhere, the Balinese honor their ancestor and the spirit world and perform religious rituals based on the ancient Balinese calendar. That is the reasons why Bali so popular among foreign tourists.
This culture section of Indonesia investments has as principal objective to provide the reader with essential background infromation on Indonesia with regard to various disciplines. This will significantly enchance people’s understanding of the country. Comprehension of cultural aspects and country specific dynamic are essential for sustainable and successful investments or when moving to a foreign country either for business or private reasons. This is especially applicable to Indonesia with its enormous cultural deversity and complexity.
 In this digital era, maintaining diversity in Indonesia is easy and can be done in all circles. Utilizing social media is very helpful in preserving cultural diversity. So that the diversity that exists in Indonesia can be maintained by publishing via social media, and that people will easily see and remember the diversity that exists in Indonesia.

Explenation: the sentence above is correct (C). There are two clauses, because the connector is “when”. The subject in the first clause is “the waves” and the verb is “were amazingly” and the subject in the second clause is “the storm” and the verb is “hit”.
